Dr. Robert Sandy
Survey Design and Sampling, Sports Economics, Economic Policy

Dr. Robert Sandy is a senior economist at the Firm specializing in economic policy, survey design and sampling, and sports economics. He is affiliated with Indiana University where he serves as the Assistant Executive Vice President of the University and Professor of Economics at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). He served as Chair of the Department of Economics at IUPUI for 12 years. He has a BA in Economics from the University of Michigan and a Ph.D. in Economics from Michigan State University. He is the author of two books and of numerous articles in economic journals covering a wide range of economic policy subjects. He has published articles in the Journal of Human Resources, the Journal of Risk and Uncertainty, Economics Letters, Economica, Applied Economics, Handbook on The Economics Of Sport, the International Economic Journal, Advances in Sports Economics, and the Southern Economic Journal.

His consulting work has included expert testimony on lost earnings, the value of a business, billing errors in Medicaid claims, and survey instrument design. His academic research areas are sports economics and occupational safety and health. His academic research has been funded by grants from the National Institute of Health and the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.
